In 1993 Frank Athanasopoulos opened a small workshop in the old Capitol building in Swanston Street Melbourne. Having completed his four year training he decided to follow his dreams and venture out into making his own jewellery. Having worked with various Jewellery houses over the Previous 5 Years, Frank was able to gain experience in various fields from designing right through to making and setting jewellery.
Frank was able to use this experience with the skill he had forged in handmaking jewellery, to secure some of the largest trade customers and was commissioned work mainly for the trade.
Although by 1997, unsatisfied with the monotony of trade work, Frank decided to open his doors to the public, and started creating his own designs using the finest materials and gemstones he was able to source from around the globe.
By 1999, Timeless Gold Jewellery was growing at a rapid pace, and in 2000 Frank moved his business to the larger new Studio in beautiful Collins Street. By this stage, Frank had employed another two craftsmen.
Specializing in Diamond Engagement and Wedding rings, Frank was also being commissioned to produce beautiful handcrafted neckpieces, earrings, and bracelets. He was also producing beautiful tiaras made from precious metal and using natural gemstones.
Mid 2000’s saw changes at Timeless Gold Jewellery. By 2006 Frank was finding less time to interact with his customers and was struggling to find time to do what he loved.
Designing and making Jewellery was what he loved to do, so the decision was made to no longer supply the trade with his jewellery, and offer his services and jewellery strictly to his clients. The business model changed and today Frank is producing Jewellery for his clients far and wide.
Today, our showroom houses many of our signature pieces made in our onsite workshop so make an appointment and come into our studio for all your handcrafted jewellery requirements.
